Ball Mill Overview
A ball mill, a type of grinder, is a cylindrical device used in grinding (or mixing) materials like ores, chemicals, ceramic raw materials and paints. Ball mills rotate around a horizontal axis, partially filled with the material to be ground plus the grinding medium. Ball mill can grind various ores and other materials with dry type and wet type, so the ball mill can be divided into tabular type and flowing type according to different forms of discharging material.
Ball Mill Application
Together with jaw crushers, Ball mill is mainly used for grinding materials in such production industries as cement, silicate product, new building materials, corhart, chemical engineering, nonferrous and black metal, mineral processing, glass and ceramic, etc. Ball mill is used for grinding various ore and other grindable materials dry or wet. Ball mills are generally used to grind material 1\4 inch and finer, down to the particle size of 20 to 75 microns. To achieve a reasonable efficiency with hammer crushers, ball mills must be operated in a closed system, with oversize continuously being recalculated back to the mill to be reduced.
Ball Mill Working Principle
This ball mill is horizontal type and tubular running device, has two warehouses. This ball mill is grid type and runs along the outside gear. The material enters spirally and evenly the first warehouse of the milling machine along the input material hollow axis by input material device. In this warehouse, there is a ladder scale board or ripple scale board, and different specification steel balls are installed on the scale board. When the barrel body rotates ball mill produces centrifugal force, at the same time, the steel ball is carried to some height and falls to make the material grinding and striking. After grinded coarsely in the first warehouse, the material then enters into the second warehouse for regrinding with the steel ball and scale board. In the end, the powder is discharged by output material board and the end products are completed. The machine can also work with various cone crushers.

The ball mill is made up of feeding part, discharging part, gyre part, transmission part and so on.
The hollow axis of the ball mill adopts the cast steel, and the lining can be replaced. The big rotary gear is forged from cast rolling gears. The barrel body of our ball mill is inlaid with wearable plates.
